It's been almost a year since I posted anything here. The main reason is I was planning to do a whole redesign of the site. Since I've been busy with a wedding, honeymoon, new house and then the holiday's...I wasn't able to make the time. Plus I'm doing a lot of training for a half marathon and maybe even a marathon. And did I mention I'm selling my old house. And still getting the new house looking the way we want it to. It seems the title of my site is keeping me from blogging about it :)

So to get me blogging again (not that I was doing a good job before), I figured I might as well get my comments section working again. I think while I was attempting to refactor my code, I accidentally broke it, but I found the missing file floating around in another version. I added it back and put in an email notification sent to me whenever someone comments. This is something I was really lacking and made it hard for me to monitor Spam and actual comments.

I'll need to do some more work on the comments, among other features. I'll probably have to add Captcha, but so far spammers haven't found me out yet. The big feature I'd like is for users to automatically login through their other 3rd party accounts, such as Facebook and Twitter. Plus, when I post my blog posts to Facebook, to tie in the comments their with this website. Oh...and threaded comments with update notifications to users would be cool too.

That's all for the future. For now, I'm going to get around posting some posts I've had laying around in emails and docs. At least now I'll know if you are commenting on them :)
