Here is a classic Cuban recipe for Picadillo. While preparing this dish, also prepare a side of black beans and rice at the same time.

Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef
1/2 cup Pitted Green Olives stuff with Pimientos
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 Onion chopped
4 cloves Garlic sliced thin
1 Green pepper sliced
1/2 Tomato sliced thin
Adobo Criollo con sazon seasoning powder
Olive oil in misto spray

Instruments
1 large cast iron pan with cover
1 mixing spoon
1 large cutting board

Directions
  1. Preheat pan to a setting of medium-low (1/4 turn on stove)
  2. Spray olive oil on pan just enough to make it wet
  3. Wait a couple of minutes for oil to heat
  4. Add Garlic slices and saute
  5. As soon as the Garlic starts turning brown add the onions and saute together
  6. Spray some more oil on Garlic and onions if they look too dry
  7. When the onions and garlic are both turning brown, remove from pan and set aside
  8. Add ground beef to pan and chop it up while it's cooking
  9. When ground beef is brown, drain the excess grease
  10. Lightly sprinkle seasoning powder over whole pan
  11. Mix 2 mins more
  12. Add the onions, garlic, olives, raisins, green pepper and tomato
  13. Lighty sprinkle seasoning powder again
  14. Continue mixing all ingredients together
  15. I personally like to chop up the olives while I'm cooking them to release their flavor
  16. Set temperature to low and cover pan
  17. Let cook while mixing every 3-4 mins
  18. After about 10 mins of cooking turn off heat and let stand for abount 5 mins
  19. Remove from stove
  20. Serve with rice and beans
